From Sunday I´m living in Denmark. In a village called Bjerringbro. By locals called „Boring bro“, so let´s see how close from the truth this name is… There are 7500 people living here, which is quite a difference from Helsinki. I like villages, so teoreticaly, this shouldn´t be an issue for me. One thing I like are old historical city centers, which is sort of missing here, for that I´d have to move to nearby town called Viborg. Lots of people are coming to here daily to work. At offices and all premises of Grundfos is working all together around 4000 people, at least Antti says so, and if he says so, then it must be truth. Antti works there now too.
We live in a furnished family house, which we got available from Grundfos. We can be here until the end of December. The house is situated near the complex of Grundfos buildings, so the location is not that idilic. But what is very idilic is the size of the house (100m2) and a fact that everything in the house is brand new. That´s obviously a big change, comparing to our little cozy appartment in Vantaa with 39m2 (miss that place). I´m feeling here like on holidays, still haven´t realised that this is my new home. Except of our bedroom there are two additional bedrooms here, one is a guestroom (all guests are welcome) and other is a childrens room with a chidrens bed (guests with children are welcome). Then here is a living room where one could teach dance lessons, how big it is and a spacious kitchen. It must take like two minutes to walk from the bedroom to the living room. Luckily I haven´t needed a toiled at night yet because I might also get lost on the way.
The house has one mistake, and that is such that I´m here most of the time alone, then in the evening when Antti comes from work it´s two of us. I feel a little lonely. There are ways how I´m trying to get myself entertained – by listening to czech radio or watching (having as a background - for the voicec and pictures of people) tv with danish or german programmes. And one more thing to mention, here are no carpets and so when you say something it echoes like if you were in a cave or in a church. I´ve been already thinking what could I get myself for a friend - fishes and rabbit denied. I think I´ll start feeding the blackbirds. According to my observations there are many of them here. The house has a little back yard where are many bushes and there the blackbirds live. And in the shops they are selling those „feeding balls“ (don´t know the name-the thing that is made out of seeds and fat) and so I will buy these feeding balls and hang them on the bushes. Then I can watch the birds. Hope that the ball won´t be stolen by a squirell like last winter in Finland (yes I like watching birds, I´m growing a nice hobby for my retirement).
Wish you a nice time, I´m going to sit with a cup of coffee (real one, not instant) to the backyard. I´ll sit on the blanket, garden furniture is missing, and enjoy all the sunshine, because the sun still has power here, yesterday was 20C and so I actually found and put on my bikini. Well, ok only for like half an hour untill the sun got covered by cloudes but anyway…It is great, not like in Finland, where I had to dig out already my hat and gloves.
Next time maybe about how the smells here remind of my home.
